US Textile and Wool Acts
The US Textile and Wool Acts requires that flags with a heading or that are bigger than 216 square inches (12”x18”) must be labeled with the required information below with a label that is securely attached to the product until it is delivered to the consumer.
#1 – Country of Origin – A textile product made entirely abroad must be labeled with the name of the specific country where it was processed or manufactured. A label may say “Made in the USA” only if the product is made completely in the US of materials that were made in the US.
#2 – Name of the Manufacturer or the RN Number – A label must be attached with either the company name of the manufacturer or importer, or the Registered Identification Number (RN) of the manufacturer or importer. An RN is issued and registered by the FTC and may be issued to any US manufacturer.
RNs are not issued to businesses outside the US.
